Marcia Weimer

          Marcia Studied at Long Beach University in Long Beach, California to become an art teacher.  She was side tracked             from school by an opportunity to play music with a show group traveling throughout Canada.  Marcia is a talented,             seasoned, professional musician whi has performed in every state except three.  She sings lik Karen Carpenter, plays           drums like Buddy Rich, plays piano, sax, clarinet, and banjo.  Curretly, she can be seen playing in and out of town                 with and exciting group called Kit `n Kaboodle.

Marcia has attended various art workshops including those taught by Mark Gudmundsen and Craig Nelson (Department Director of Fine Art at the Academy of Art in San Francisco).  

She is a member of the Yosemite Western Artists and recently, she has been displaying and selling her artwork in various galleries, gift shops, bookstores, and local venues.  “Marica Miniatures” have captured the hearts of tourist and locals alike.  She is a native Californian who has lived most of her life in Newport Beach.  Her love of the ocean can be seen in her unique illuminating sea scapes.  Marica’s earlier works. were sold by interior decorators in the Newport area.  Her latest paintings are inspired by her living in the mountains near Yosemite.  Her vibrant colors, use of lights and darks make her pictures dramatic.
